Monday – Breakfast, Park International Hotel, London
This morning we will have a tour of the University of Oxford Botanical Garden with one of the Horticultural Staff. “The Botanic Garden was founded in 1621 with a mission “to promote the furtherance of learning and to glorify nature.” It is the oldest botanical garden in Britain.
Our afternoon will be spent visiting Broughton Grange, a private garden set in 350 acres of parkland, farmland and open meadow, with planting that owes its origins to the Victorian era. Its walled garden, with three terraces, was designed by Tom Stuart Smith. We will have a private guided visit with refreshments before heading into London.
