Chelsea Flower Show Tour

COTSWOLD GARDENS & CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 

An eight day tour through the English countryside visiting world famous gardens. We'll travel through the idyllic Cotswolds to wonderful gardens including Lawrence Johnston's Hidcote. We will also be visiting the Oxford Botanical Garden and a 21st Century private garden created by one of the UK's top garden designers and eight times Chelsea gold medallist - Tom Stuart Smith. Our tour will end in London with a day at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on opening day.

Wednesday - Welcome Dinner

On our way to the Cotswolds from Heathrow Airport, we will visit Stowe.

Sunday – Breakfast and Sunday Roast Dinner

Today we'll enjoy a traditional Sunday Roast and visit Hidcote Manor Garden, one of the best-known and most influential Arts and Crafts gardens in Britain, with its linked "rooms" of hedges, rare trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders and the wonderful Kiftsgate Court, designed by three women gardeners.

Monday – Breakfast, Park International Hotel, London

This morning we will have a tour of the University of Oxford Botanical Garden with one of the Horticultural Staff. “The Botanic Garden was founded in 1621 with a mission “to promote the furtherance of learning and to glorify nature.” It is the oldest botanical garden in Britain.

Our afternoon will be spent visiting Broughton Grange, a private garden set in 350 acres of parkland, farmland and open meadow, with planting that owes its origins to the Victorian era. Its walled garden, with three terraces, was designed by Tom Stuart Smith. We will have a private guided visit with refreshments before heading into London.

Tuesday – Breakfast & Dinner, Park International Hotel, London

Today is the first day of the Chelsea Flower Show in 2018 and a RHS Members Only Day. This is the day when the Queen and other members of the Royal Family make an appearance along with celebrities and those of us lucky enough to get a ticket!

Your ticket is for a full day from 8.30 am onwards. You will receive a short briefing on what to try and see first and a general orientation before the show.

In the evening, we'll celebrate the culmination of our expedition at a wonderful Indian restaurant.
